イリ　サーリネン（ライター、翻訳家）

フィンランド、ヘルシンキ生まれです。ヘルシンキ大学卒業、上智大学大学院グローバルスタディーズ研究科（修士）修了後、タイムアウト東京に入社し、ライター・翻訳家、エディターを担当しました。その後、デロイトトーマツグループにて日英翻訳業務に従事したのち、現在フリーランスとして活動しています。

Ili Saarinen

I’m a writer, translator and editor based in Tokyo.

You can read a selection of my published work on the homepage. My translations appear regularly on the culture review site RealTokyo, and I write an occasional newsletter called Ili's Tokyo on Substack.

I was born in Helsinki and went to school in Finland, the U.S., and Japan. I used to be a staff writer and later an editor at Time Out Tokyo, and I’ve also translated Japanese into English full time for the Deloitte Tohmatsu Group.

I live in western Tokyo with my wife and son.
